Description:

As Audit Specialist, you will support the Internal Audit function by conducting independent reviews of technical, commercial, and financial processes to identify risks, control gaps, and compliance issues. You will provide practical recommendations that strengthen governance, safeguard assets, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory, policy, and quality management requirements.

You’ll contribute to:

Support the development of the annual audit plan.

• Lead field audit teams during audit engagements.
• Coordinate audit activities with relevant departments and stakeholders.
• Audit financial, commercial, and operational processes for compliance.
• Review audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit methodologies and standards.
• Manage audit fieldwork and maintain complete audit documentation.
• Follow up on audit observations and corrective action implementation.
• Assess organizational risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Audit technical operations, maintenance, and project processes for compliance.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Head of Unit

Qualifications and Requirements:

This opportunity is a Middle-Level Management role. Your role will directly support governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across Ikeja Electric. This role directly reports to the Audit Operations Lead. Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant science or social science discipline. Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CIA) is required.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant postqualification experience in the energy, power, financial, or manufacturing sector.
