Description:

Tropic Palm is looking for a smart, highly organised and data-driven Business Operations Coordinator to support the effective coordination and monitoring of our plantation operations. This is a Head Office-based role responsible for tracking operational activities, coordinating information from field teams, analysing data, maintaining management dashboards and providing the CEO with clear and timely updates. You do not need to be an agricultural expert. What matters most is your ability to manage multiple workstreams, pay close attention to detail, follow up proactively, identify issues and turn information into useful business insights.

Job Details

• Monitor and track plantation activities, schedules and operational targets.
• Maintain accurate trackers, calendars and dashboards for ongoing activities.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse operational data from different sites and teams.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for the CEO.
• Identify delays, gaps, inconsistencies and operational risks and escalate them promptly.
• Follow up with internal teams to ensure pending actions are completed on time.
• Track the usage and availability of key operational inputs, materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, costs, consumption and performance.
• Coordinate information flow between Head Office and field teams.
• Support the development and improvement of operational processes and reporting systems.
• Ensure agreed actions are followed through and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Use AI tools and other digital solutions to improve reporting, analysis and productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain, Agriculture, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business operations, project coordination, operations, supply chain, reporting, data analysis or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience preparing reports, trackers and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and proactively identify issues.

Pay range: ₦750,000 – ₦1,000,000/month Monthly
