Quality Control Assistant – Raw Material

Description:

• Responsible for the evaluation and release of bulk raw materials and packaging materials to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. Conducts retain sample re-evaluation, investigates material defects and deviations, and supports the management and disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Maintains accurate laboratory documentation and records and supports the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Works with relevant departments to ensure quality control requirements and procedures are effectively implemented.

Job Functions

• Evaluates bulk raw materials and packaging materials in line with approved specifications and quality control procedures.
• Conducts the required laboratory checks and tests on raw materials and packaging materials before release.
• Reviews test results and relevant documentation to determine conformity with established quality standards.
• Supports the release or rejection of raw materials and packaging materials based on quality control results and established procedures.
• Conducts periodic re-evaluation of retain samples and documents the findings appropriately.
• Ensures retain samples are properly identified, stored and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
• Investigates material defects, non-conformities and deviations and documents findings appropriately.
• Conducts root cause analysis on identified quality issues and supports the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Supports the management and disposition of non-conforming raw materials in accordance with approved procedures.
• Prepares relevant quality control, investigation and deviation reports.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date laboratory documentation, records and test results.
• Ensures laboratory records are properly maintained and readily available for review when required.
• Supports the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and ensures relevant records are maintained.
• Reports equipment malfunction, abnormalities or calibration concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Assists with other quality control activities as required.
• Works with relevant departments to address material quality issues and ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Management Accountant to provide strong cost accounting, financial analysis, and management accounting support across its manufacturing operations.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production and operational costs, monitoring cost efficiency and profitability, preparing cost forecasts and financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support effective decision-making and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization’s cost accounting systems, processes, documentation, and records to ensure accurate and effective cost management.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, utilization, and operational activities to compile and evaluate cost information.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain data on operational costs, including maintaining the expenses database and reporting on actual profit margins.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare periodic cost forecasts and related financial reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs against actual production costs, identifying significant variances and their drivers.
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and improvements to business operations, processes, and policies to reduce costs and maximize profitability.
• Analyze changes in manufacturing processes and assess their impact on production costs, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Develop cost standards for manufactured paint products and services and provide product sample costing to support the Marketing and Sales functions.
• Monitor and report on factors affecting the pricing and profitability of paint products and services, providing relevant financial insights to management.
