In this role, you’ll act as a bridge between our People team’s needs and our technical capabilities, configuring systems to handle the complexity of multi-country operations, different regulatory environments, and varying local requirements.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Supporting our HRIS migration

- Training HR team members and end-users on HRIS functionalities and updates.

Driving our HR Data Management and Reporting Quality projects
- Ensuring our HRIS data quality project is running smoothly by managing stakeholder relationships across all of our HR, Talent and Payroll teams.
- Replicating data quality projects across all HR Systems to ensure the same data quality standards from our HRIS are used consistently. Conducting audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Expanding data quality projects into strategic dashboards or reporting that can support HR and Business decision-making, in particular linking performance and learning data.
- Managing data privacy and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable regulations.

Description:
We’re looking for a Sr Endpoint Engineer who’s excited about consolidating and updating legacy systems with an eye for automation. You’ll be responsible for the MDM platforms, endpoint policies, device deployment pipelines, and fleet tooling that underpin how every employee at Wave interacts with their device. This role blends architectural ownership with hands-on execution, requiring you to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant endpoint solutions in a fast growth environment.
You’ll own the endpoint function end-to-end: platform and policy design, provisioning standards, fleet reporting, and security integration. You’ll work closely with Information Security, IT, and People Operations, and you’ll be the person who sets the technical direction for how Wave manages devices at scale. The first year will be weighted toward remediation and foundation-building before shifting toward automation and scale. Candidates who have built in scrappy, high-complexity environments will be better prepared for this role than those who have only operated mature platforms in static environments.
In this role, you’ll:
- Own and operate Wave’s MDM platforms across ChromeOS (GWS Admin Console), macOS (Jamf), Android, (and Linux environments): configuration, policy design, maintenance, and roadmap.
- Manage ChromeOS device policy in Google Workspace: enrollment configuration, org unit structure, security policies, extension management, and OS version enforcement across the majority of the fleet.
- Design and enforce endpoint security policies in collaboration with Information Security, including EDR integration (CrowdStrike Falcon), compliance baselines, and patch management.
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for OS updates, software distribution, and configuration changes: minimizing manual intervention and maximizing consistency.
- Define and manage the device lifecycle: provisioning standards, imaging, refresh cycles, decommission processes, and fleet reporting.
- Establish cross-platform compatibility standards and tooling for a heterogeneous fleet (macOS, Linux, Android, with awareness of ChromeOS and Windows edge cases).
- Build the tooling and runbooks that Local IT teams use to execute provisioning and onboarding on the ground. You set the standard, they execute it.
- Own fleet observability: dashboards, compliance reporting, patch currency metrics, and audit-ready documentation.
- Evaluate and own vendor relationships for endpoint tooling, including MDM, patch management, and related platforms.
- Mentor junior profiles working in endpoint and device management.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- BA in Computer Science, Economics, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience in the required field.
- 5+ years in endpoint engineering or systems engineering with hands-on ownership of multi-platform fleets at scale.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of two out of the following:
- ChromeOS fleet management via Google Workspace Admin Console (device policy, org unit design, forced installs, Context-Aware Access).
- Deep macOS expertise: Jamf administration, macOS internals, configuration profiles, extension attributes, scripting (Bash, Python, or Swift).
- Android MDM experience: enterprise enrollment, policy enforcement, and management via Android Enterprise (EMM/MDM platforms)
- Linux endpoint management experience: package management, configuration tooling (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar), and hardening
- Windows/Intune experience is not required, but can be considered applicable if enough strength in our existing device fleet is demonstrated.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security principles: EDR integration, compliance baselines (CIS, SOC2), certificate management, and disk encryption enforcement.
- Familiarity with identity and access tooling as it touches endpoints: SSO, certificate-based auth, conditional access policies (Okta or equivalent).
- Scripting and automation capability sufficient to build reliable deployment pipelines and reduce manual operational work.
- Fleet reporting and observability, meaning you can tell leadership the compliance posture of the fleet at any time.
You might be a good fit if you
- You’ve owned an endpoint function through a period of growth or organizational change, not just maintained a stable one.
- You build for the people executing on the ground. Your runbooks actually work, your tooling has sensible defaults, and your policies account for the reality of field operations.
- You can communicate risk and tradeoffs clearly to InfoSec, IT leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
- You’re comfortable operating with ambiguity and incomplete inventory data, and your first instinct is to establish observability, not assume things are fine.
- You have experience with CrowdStrike Falcon or equivalent EDR platforms
- Prior work in a fintech or regulated industry with compliance-driven endpoint requirements
- Have French language skills or an interest in learning French
- Experience managing device fleets in multi-country markets, ideally including emerging market contexts.
Benefits and Work Condition:
- This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be based in one of our talent hub countries (UK, Spain, USA, Canada, Kenya and Ghana) or in one of our operating markets in Africa including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, or Burkina Faso. Wherever you are based, you must have reliable Internet access and have work authorization.
- Wave covers travel once per year to one of our operating countries in Africa, as well as a yearly stipend of $1,200 to meet with coworkers.
- Our salaries are competitive and are calculated using a transparent formula. For this role, depending on your experience level and location, we are offering a salary range of $96,500 to $133,100 USD (paid in your local currency equivalent) plus a generous equity package.
- Major benefits:
- Subsidized health insurance for you and your dependents and retirement contributions (both vary from country to country)
- 6 months fully paid parental leave and subsidized fertility assistance
- Unlimited vacation with a 20-day minimum requirement
- $10,000 annual charitable donation matching
Chief Technology Officer
Specifications:

- Salary Range: $356,500 USD per annum
- Category: Tech

Description:
We’re looking for a CTO who wants to own engineering end to end: the systems, the people, and the standards for a company whose work changes lives.
- Keep us moving fast as we get bigger: We deliberately favour fewer processes, simple designs, and deeply understood tools, because that’s what lets a small team operate a system this important. Your job is to protect that as the headcount grows and ensure more ownership per engineer, and a clear view of where complexity is worth the tradeoff.
- Own reliability: Wave is the financial system for tens of millions of people. You’ll set the standards for uptime, incident response, and how carefully we change things that move money and you’ll be accountable when we fall short.
- Build and lead the leadership layer: You’ll inherit 5 direct reports and an engineering organization of ~132 people including security, data and infrastructure. You will be responsible for hiring, developing, and where necessary replacing engineering managers and directors. You’ll be personally involved in senior hiring.
- Set our vision on AI: Set our vision on AI. We’re already seeing AI accelerate product velocity, but we think we’re in the early days of what we can do with AI in our apps and to move faster across the org. We want you to make Wave a truly AI forward organization.
- Support expansion. Wave already has over 25M users with accelerating growth. This scale and each new market brings new challenges and constraints. You’ll help us plan the right architecture and organizational structure to help us grow smoothly and consistently.
- Represent engineering to the company. Wave is very transparent, whether that’s defaulting to public conversations in slack, frequent Ask Wave Anything sessions, or defaulting to writing public docs to explain major decisions. You’ll communicate openly and clearly about what engineering is doing and why, to an audience that includes engineers, non-engineers, our leadership team, and our when needed regulators.
Key details
Reports to: Drew Durbin, CEO.
Team: Around ~132 engineers across 5 teams (Payment, User-facing products, Internal, non-product teams and platform) plus 5 leaders. Engineering teams are co-led by Product Managers and an engineering manager.
Stack: Python 3 with mypy on the backend, GraphQL API layer, Postgres and Redis, Kotlin/Jetpack on Android (our main client), Swift/SwiftUI on iOS, TypeScript and React on the web. Infrastructure on GCP, managed with Kubernetes and Terraform. Most backend work happens in a large Python monolith, deployed across multi-country architecture. Current in-flight work includes agentic developer tooling, a large scale migration of our databases, and some refactoring of our monolith.
Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be based in one of our talent hub countries (Spain, UK, East Coast of USA, Canada, Kenya, Ghana) or in one of our operating markets in Africa including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, or Burkina Faso etc. Expect to travel to our markets a minimum of twice per year to stay close to local realities, products, teams and of course our users. Wave covers all costs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- You’ve managed an engineering organization of at ~100 people, including managers who manage others. You can describe how your own job changed as the org grew.
- You have a software engineering background and are good at it. You can still read code and follow a technical argument to the end.
- You’ve been accountable for a system where failure was expensive: money, safety, or regulated data.
- You’ve hired senior engineering leaders, and you’ve moved someone out of a role that wasn’t working. You can talk about both honestly.
- You write well. Clear, short, and persuasive, for readers who aren’t engineers.
- You have a clear and positive point of view on AI in engineering: something you’ve tried, changed, or abandoned, not a plan to look into it.
- You believe in what we’re building and can say why without being prompted.
You might be a good fit if you
- Would rather run a great team than be the smartest engineer in the room, and don’t feel a loss in that trade.
- Are comfortable being the person who says the unwelcome thing in a meeting, and can do it without making it personal.
- Change your mind in public when the evidence changes.
- Prefer the simplest system that works to the most interesting one.
- Care about what our users actually experience: how long a transfer takes on a bad network, what happens to a shop owner when a deposit fails and bring that up unprompted when discussing infrastructure.
- Take responsibility for outcomes rather than processes, including when the outcome is bad.
- Are drawn to a company that publishes its numbers internally every month, expects direct feedback in both directions, and would rather be embarrassingly honest than comfortable.
Benefits and Work Condition:
Compensation: Our salaries are competitive and are calculated using a transparent formula. For this role, depending on your level and location, we offer a salary of up to $356,500 USD, plus a generous equity package:
- Wave provides a yearly $1,200 stipend to support coworking meetups with teammates.
- Major benefits:
- Subsidized health insurance for you and your dependents and retirement contributions (both vary from country to country).
- 6 months of fully paid parental leave and subsidized fertility assistance.
- Flexible vacation, with most folks taking between 21-30 days exclusive of statutory holidays.
- $10,000 annual charitable donation matching.
Process: The process runs up to 5 conversations, including 2 technical discussions. We want this to be a 2-way assessment: as much a chance for you to evaluate us as for us to get to know you. Along the way you’ll meet our CEO, Head of People, Head of Product, both Engineering Directors, and a senior leader from one of our markets.
