Description:
RC Capital is RevenueCat’s first move into financial services. Our first product, Early Payouts, gives developers access to App Store proceeds without waiting the usual 30 to 60 days for Apple and Google to pay them.
As Sales & Operations Specialist, RC Capital, you will own the customer lifecycle end-to-end – from identifying and qualifying suitable prospects through screening, onboarding, activation, ongoing support, account operations, and portfolio health. You will combine commercial judgment, customer care, operational discipline, and risk awareness to help RC Capital acquire and serve more healthy customers.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role on a small founding team. You might move from a discovery call to an onboarding issue, a portfolio review, and a workflow improvement in the same day. You will work closely with Sales, Support, Product, Data, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and GTM Operations, and report to the VP of Strategy & Operations. You will also help build the playbook and systems future teammates inherit.
What You’ll Own:
- Sales and qualification. Manage a portfolio of inbound and targeted outbound opportunities. Run discovery, assess product and customer fit, coordinate screening, handle objections, maintain momentum, and guide suitable prospects to a clear decision.
- Onboarding and activation. Lead approved customers from decision to activated. Ensure customers understand how to use Early Payouts successfully.
- Customer support and portfolio operations. Serve as a reliable point of contact for customers, including questions, disputes, and operational issues. Coordinate with RevenueCat Support and specialist teams, and own follow-through through resolution.
- Risk-aware execution. Apply documented customer, fraud, and risk policies consistently; investigate issues; document decisions; monitor emerging patterns; and make sound recommendations. Escalate exceptions and regulated or high-impact decisions to the appropriate risk, legal, finance, or leadership owner.
- Lifecycle performance and insight. Maintain a reliable view of pipeline, onboarding, support demand, usage, and portfolio health. Turn data into recommendations on funnel quality, conversion, time to activation, drop-off, retention, customer experience, and risk indicators. Bring structured customer insight to Product to inform roadmaps.
- Systems, automation, and playbooks. Improve CRM, support workflows, internal handoffs, reporting, documentation, and automation. Use AI thoughtfully to reduce manual work and response times without weakening controls or customer trust. Partner with Marketing, Operations, Data, and Product on durable implementations.
- Customer and growth. Partner with Marketing on focused acquisition and lifecycle experiments. Support marketing efforts like campaign execution, competitive analysis, and content that drives demand.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 4+ years in a high-ownership, customer-facing commercial or operations role spanning sales, account management, customer success, customer support, or customer operations.
- A track record of moving opportunities through a commercial process and managing a meaningful volume of customer relationships with strong follow-through.
- Experience in fintech, payments, lending, factoring, embedded finance, or another environment where customer growth and operational risk are closely connected.
- 1-2 years of marketing or growth experience running campaigns or managing CRM-driven outreach.
- Strong operational judgment: you clarify ownership, define next steps, document decisions, apply policy consistently, and recognize when an issue needs specialist review.
- Analytical fluency across CRM, support, and analytics tools, with the ability to diagnose funnel or portfolio performance and recommend action.
- Practical experience improving workflows with automation and AI, including judgment about where automation introduces unacceptable risk or a poor customer experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication: persuasive with prospects, clear during onboarding, calm in disputes, and concise with executives and cross-functional partners.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity on a small, autonomous team and working hours that meaningfully overlap with US time zones.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with payment operations, underwriting, fraud and risk workflows, disputes, or compliance-adjacent processes.
- Experience launching a new product, business line, or operating motion before the playbook was written.
- Knowledge of mobile apps, developer products, subscriptions, or App Store economics.
- Experience contributing to CRM or lifecycle campaigns, customer-facing content, or growth experiments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Notion, Linear, Intercom or Zendesk, Slack, Zoom, and product analytics platforms.
What we offer
- Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
- 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
- Fully remote and flexible work environment
- 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge
- $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning

Description:
We are looking for a Head of Sales to build and lead the commercial system that converts RevenueCat’s market position, product signals, and customer demand into dependable revenue, regardless of that revenue coming in the form of an immediate contract, a self-serve credit-swipe, or long-term expansion.
In the ‘app monetization platform’ category, RevenueCat currently has about a 90% marketshare, ranging from the biggest apps in the world (ChatGPT, Ladder, VSCO) to a long tail of 100,000+ indies and startups vying to make it big. We only power roughly 25% of in-app revenue, though: The majority of apps still tries to build this themselves. Your job will be to show them the error of their ways. Not (just) to close a deal, but because we truly, deeply believe we will help them make more money.
As the Head of Sales, you’ll lead the AE and Sales Engineering teams, bringing both teams together in a single, well-oiled machine. You’ll set the functional strategy, develop talent, own forecasting and results, and you’ll personally help move important opportunities forward without becoming the required manager or closer on every deal.
Why we are hiring for this role now
We have more opportunities than the current team can consistently identify, prioritize and pursue.
Our reputation and market position produce consistent touch points with the majority of potential prospects, without those touch points turning into economic opportunities. At the same time, we’re rapidly expanding into new markets and product areas that need more proactive sales support than we can deliver.
We need a leader who can make several motions work together without forcing them into one generic process:
- Complex evaluations involving technical, business, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders.
- Faster mid-market opportunities that require strong qualification and commercial momentum.
- Self-exploration where customer behavior reveals an opportunity before a formal handraise.
- Carefully researched outbound engagement with app businesses where RevenueCat has a specific reason to be useful.
- Partner-sourced and selected regional motions whose economics must be demonstrated before they are scaled.
The foundations exist: Account Executives, Sales Engineers, product and usage data, a respected brand, Growth Marketing, Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Product, Finance, and Customer Growth. This role will turn those ingredients into a successful Sales function.
What you will be responsible for
- Own the function. Set goals, metrics, operating cadences, headcount plans, budget, organization design, executive communication, and the performance bar across Sales.
- Build a multi-motion Sales system. Define how strategic, mid-market, product-led, outbound, partner, and regional opportunities are identified, qualified, staffed, and advanced, across a growing product portfolio.
- Create qualified pipeline beyond inbound. Develop focused account and outbound programs grounded in customer evidence, specific use cases, market events, and product signals rather than undifferentiated prospecting.
- Close the coverage gap. Ensure high-potential product usage, sign-ups, inbound requests, support interactions, and target-account signals quickly result in a named owner and an intentional next action.
- Build the team. We have good building blocks in place but the team needs to be significantly expanded to take on our current scale. Hire and developer exception talent, and define what makes a great sales team member at RevenueCat.
- Remain close to customers. Participate in customer conversations every week and personally lead or support opportunities with unusual economic, technical, or organizational complexity.
- Make the forecast useful. Establish definitions and inspection habits that distinguish real, qualified opportunity value from incomplete records, existing usage conversions, renewals, total contract value, or loosely influenced demand.
- Help shape pricing and packaging. Bring a clear Sales point of view to cross-functional pricing and packaging decisions, using customer evidence to advocate for structures that support value, adoption, and durable growth.
- Get cross-functional collaboration right. Define how Sales works with Customer Growth, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations, Product, Engineering, TAM, and Support without creating duplicate account ownership or executive rescue as the default operating model.
- Create learning from every deal. Turn repeated discovery patterns, objections, migrations, wins, and losses into better playbooks, reusable assets, Product evidence, and team training.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ Year of experience leading Sales in a technically complex B2B environment, including responsibility for managers or senior team leads as well as individual contributors.
- Success across multiple distinct motions such as strategic enterprise, mid-market, product-led Sales assistance, focused outbound, channel, or regional selling.
- Experience creating qualified pipeline rather than depending entirely on inbound demand or a large SDR organization.
- Enough product and technical fluency to talk to Engineering about a possible migration without relying on Sales Engineering for every conversation.
- Fluency with pipeline inspection, forecasting, conversion data, capacity planning, and performance management.
- Evidence of hiring, coaching, developing leaders, raising standards, and making difficult talent decisions.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Partnerships, and post-sale teams.
- A desire to stay personally engaged with customers and live commercial work as the organization grows (and an understanding of why this matters).
Ideally, you
- Have worked in a product-led or usage-based business where self-service remains an important customer path.
- Understand app infrastructure, payments, monetization, developer platforms, or another domain with meaningful implementation complexity.
- Have built a productive Account Executive and Sales Engineering partnership.
- Have experience with partner-sourced, international, or regional programs.
- Have sold to buying groups spanning engineering, product, growth, finance, security, legal, and procurement.

Description:
This is not your typical Customer Success role.
RevenueCat prices based on how much money a customer makes. That creates an unusually clear alignment of incentives: when our customers grow, we grow.
- That means Customer Success at RevenueCat should be more than relationship management, implementation check-ins, and polite QBRs.
- Our best CSMs understand a customer’s app, audience, business model, growth goals, internal constraints, RevenueCat usage, and decision-making dynamics well enough to help that customer make better decisions.
- Sometimes that means helping them adopt the right RevenueCat feature.
- Sometimes it means spotting that their paywall, pricing, lifecycle, onboarding, or retention motion deserves a closer look.
- Sometimes it means bringing in a technical partner to make sure an implementation question gets answered correctly.
- Sometimes it means bringing in one of our growth specialists — people with deep expertise in areas like paywall conversion, lifecycle messaging, paid user acquisition, pricing, or gaming monetization — when a customer has a specific high-impact growth problem worth digging into.
- And often, it means doing the unglamorous but critical work of keeping everyone aligned on context, priorities, next steps, owners, and follow-through.
That’s this role. As a Senior Customer Success Manager,
- You’ll own a portfolio of managed RevenueCat customers and help them get more value from RevenueCat.
- You’ll become the person who understands where each customer is trying to go, what is getting in their way, how RevenueCat can plausibly help, and what needs to happen next.
- You are not expected to be the best technical expert, paywall expert, lifecycle expert, paid acquisition expert, or pricing expert in the company.
- You are expected to be a strong growth generalist: curious, commercially aware, product-fluent, organized, and credible enough to diagnose the right problem, bring in the right person, and own the follow-through.
Why we’re hiring for this role now
RevenueCat has grown quickly, and our customer base now spans everything from tiny indie apps to some of the largest mobile businesses in the world.
The traditional version of Customer Success – where a CSM is mostly a relationship owner, meeting scheduler, escalation path, or (and this is the worst one) secretly just another sales person trying to upsell customers things they don’t need – is not enough for where we are going.
Our customers want help making more money. They want better visibility into what is happening in their subscription business. They want practical guidance on monetization, paywalls, pricing, retention, lifecycle, platform rules, and product adoption. They want to know what other great app businesses are doing. They want RevenueCat to be a partner in growth, not just a vendor they ping when something breaks.
At the same time, we cannot give every managed customer the same level of depth.
Some customers need deep account planning, proactive growth diagnosis, stakeholder mapping, technical input, and clear expansion / adoption strategy. Some need lighter but still thoughtful guidance. Some need scalable education, templates, webinars, playbooks, office hours, and better self-serve resources.
A strong CSM knows the difference.
This role is for someone who wants to help define what modern Customer Success should look like for app businesses: commercially sharp, deeply customer-aware, product-fluent, growth-oriented, and built for leverage.
What you’ll be responsible for
Customer context and account strategy
You’ll build deep understanding of each customer in your portfolio: their app, value proposition, audience, onboarding, paywall, pricing, plans, lifecycle, user acquisition motion, retention drivers, business model, growth goals, stakeholders, RevenueCat usage, risks, and opportunities.
You’ll turn that context into clear account strategy: what matters, what RevenueCat can help with, what the customer should adopt next, where the risks are, who needs to be involved, and what the next step is.
Helping customers grow with RevenueCat
You’ll help customers identify where RevenueCat can plausibly help them make more money.
That could include better use of RevenueCat Analytics, Paywalls, Experiments, Offerings, targeting, integrations, web monetization, or other parts of the product.
It could also mean helping them think through broader subscription growth questions: conversion, retention, lifecycle, pricing, packaging, churn, winback, platform strategy, or monetization experiments.
You won’t always be the deepest expert in the room. But you should understand enough to ask good questions, avoid shallow advice, spot the real problem, and bring in the right specialist when needed.
Product adoption and business outcomes
You’ll make sure customers are not just paying for RevenueCat, but actually using it in ways that help their business.
That means understanding their goals, identifying adoption gaps, helping them prioritize what to implement next, and making sure our product becomes more deeply embedded in how they operate.
Success is not “the customer likes us.”
Success is the customer getting more value from RevenueCat, adopting the right products, making better monetization decisions, and becoming more likely to grow with us over time.
Business reviews that actually matter
You’ll run customer conversations and business reviews that are useful.
Not generic QBR theater.
You’ll bring customer-specific context, product usage insights, account risks, growth opportunities, benchmarks where relevant, and clear recommendations. You’ll leave customers with better understanding and concrete next steps.
Cross-functional coordination
- You’ll work closely with technical account partners, support, product, sales, and growth specialists.
- RevenueCat is a technical product, and customers often need help that spans multiple functions. A great CSM does not try to answer everything themselves, but also does not blindly route questions and walk away.
- You’ll own the customer context and next-step clarity.
- When a customer has a technical implementation, SDK, API, data, StoreKit, Google Play, Stripe, webhook, entitlement, or debugging question, you’ll bring in the right technical partner.
- When a customer has a specific, high-impact growth problem, you’ll help decide whether one of our growth specialists should get involved.
- When a customer’s feedback points to a product gap, you’ll make sure Product understands the pattern and the business impact.
- When renewal, expansion, or executive alignment matters, you’ll partner with Sales and GTM leadership.
Risk, renewal, and expansion context
- You’ll understand the health of your accounts beyond surface-level relationship status.
- Who are the decision makers? What is the customer trying to achieve? Are they adopting the right parts of RevenueCat? Are there unresolved risks? Are there expansion opportunities? Is there executive alignment? Is the customer getting measurable value?
- You’ll partner with Sales where commercial action is needed, and you’ll make sure RevenueCat has a clear view of account health, risk, adoption, and growth potential.
Turning repeated work into leverage
You’ll notice patterns.
When the same question, objection, adoption gap, growth problem, or customer confusion shows up repeatedly, you’ll help turn it into something reusable: a playbook, template, webinar, customer guide, internal enablement, support macro, docs improvement, sales asset, or product feedback.
We don’t want to solve the same problem from scratch forever.
The goal is to make the whole company smarter every time we learn something from a customer.
What you’ll need to understand deeply
The customer’s app
What does the app do? Who is it for? What problem does it solve? How does onboarding work? What does the paywall look like? What plans do they offer? What drives conversion, retention, and willingness to pay?
The customer’s customers
Who uses the app? Why do they subscribe? Why do they churn? What segments matter? Where is the friction? What motivations, objections, and behaviors shape the subscription business?
The customer’s business
How does the company make money? What are their growth goals? What markets matter? What constraints are they operating under? Who makes decisions? What does success look like for them?
RevenueCat’s product
Not just what features exist, but which features can plausibly help a customer make more money, reduce operational pain, learn faster, or run their business better.
App growth broadly
You should be comfortable learning and talking about monetization, paywalls, pricing, lifecycle, retention, churn, trials, onboarding, paid acquisition, LTV, cohorts, experiments, and subscription strategy.
You don’t need deep specialist-level expertise in all of these areas.
You do need enough judgment to know which problem is worth solving.
Within the first month, you’ll:
- Gain a deep understanding of RevenueCat’s product, customers, customer segments, and managed customer motion
- Meet with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Support, technical account partners, and growth specialists to understand how we work today
- Sit in on customer calls, implementation handoffs, business reviews, and internal account discussions
- Start building customer context for a small set of managed accounts
- Present your “first ship” — a RevenueCat onboarding tradition where you create and share something useful based on your first few weeks. For this role, that could be an account-plan template, a customer insight, a growth playbook, a customer education idea, or an improvement to how we run customer conversations
Within the first 3 months, you’ll:
- Own a portfolio of managed customers
- Build account plans for your most important accounts, including customer goals, app context, RevenueCat adoption, growth opportunities, risks, stakeholders, open asks, and next steps
- Identify product adoption opportunities and help customers take action on them
- Run customer conversations and business reviews that produce concrete next steps
- Work with technical partners and growth specialists without becoming a relay layer
- Begin tracking success across account health, adoption, customer outcomes, risks, and renewal / expansion context
Within the first 6 months, you’ll:
- Be trusted by customers as a thoughtful, growth-oriented account partner
- Have improved product adoption and account clarity across your portfolio
- Have helped customers identify and act on meaningful monetization or growth opportunities
- Have turned repeated customer questions or growth problems into reusable assets, playbooks, docs, templates, or enablement
- Be a strong internal voice for customer context, helping Product, Sales, Support, and Marketing understand what customers are trying to do and where they get stuck
After 12 months, you’ll:
- Have helped customers make better decisions about their subscription business
- Have contributed meaningfully to customer health, product adoption, renewal readiness, and expansion context
- Be known internally as someone who brings clear customer context, sharp judgment, and strong follow-through
- Have helped define what great CSM work looks like at RevenueCat
- Have made the team smarter by turning customer learnings into reusable systems, content, and playbooks
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Customer Growth, Strategic Consulting, Growth, Product, Marketing, Sales, Support, or a similarly customer-facing role
- Experience managing strategic or high-value customer relationships where product adoption, account strategy, stakeholder management, and business outcomes mattered
- Strong enough app-growth judgment to reason about monetization, retention, pricing, paywalls, lifecycle, onboarding, and/or user acquisition, even if you are not a deep specialist in all of them
- Ability to use data to understand customer performance, spot risks and opportunities, and communicate practical recommendations
- Comfort working with technical products and technical stakeholders. You do not need to be an engineer, but you need to understand enough to know when technical correctness matters
- Strong written and verbal communication across founders, executives, growth teams, product teams, and engineers
- High ownership and follow-through across multiple customers, internal stakeholders, and moving pieces
- Strong prioritization skills. You should know where to go deep, where to be lightweight, and where to create leverage
- Comfort working in a remote, async environment using tools like Google Docs, Slack, Zoom, Linear, Salesforce, and Notion
Ideally, you
- Have worked with mobile apps, subscription businesses, consumer products, gaming, marketplaces, payments, analytics, lifecycle, CRM, growth tooling, or developer tools
- Have firsthand experience with app monetization, in-app purchases, subscriptions, paywalls, lifecycle messaging, pricing, retention, or mobile analytics
- Have owned strategic accounts with renewal or expansion influence
- Have built customer-facing playbooks, workshops, templates, guides, webinars, or scaled education
- Have partnered closely with technical account managers, support teams, product managers, sales teams, or specialist advisory teams
- Have been a RevenueCat customer, app builder, or operator in the mobile subscription ecosystem
We’re looking for someone who
Thinks like an owner
You do not wait for perfect process or perfect instructions. You notice gaps, take responsibility, and follow through.
Goes deep on customer context
You are not satisfied with “they seem happy.” You want to understand the app, the business, the people, the goals, the constraints, the risks, and the opportunities.
Has practical growth judgment
You can reason about what might help a customer grow without pretending there is one magic playbook for every app.
Communicates clearly
You can explain complex ideas simply, write useful internal context, run a sharp customer call, and adapt your communication to executives, growth teams, product teams, and engineers.
Can work across functions without creating chaos
You know when to bring in technical help, when to bring in a growth specialist, when to involve Sales, and when to raise a product issue. You keep ownership clear.
Builds for leverage
You do not want to answer the same question fifty times. You turn repeated customer needs into reusable assets.
Likes directness
We value clear thinking, honest feedback, and high standards. You should be comfortable working in a culture where people say what they mean and expect follow-through.

Description:
At most companies, Sales Engineers are the technical sidekicks to sellers. At RevenueCat, in many cases, Sales Engineers are the sellers – the first touch for most inbound conversations, the ones helping prospects understand whether RevenueCat is right for them, and the people guiding them from curiosity to implementation.
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you’ll combine deep RevenueCat product knowledge with a consultative mindset. You’ll understand app monetization models, subscription infrastructure, and the growth levers that drive success. You’ll build and demo real examples – like replicating a prospect’s paywall in our builder – while explaining how our SDKs, APIs, and integrations fit (or replace) what they already have. When larger, complex deals involve multiple stakeholders or extended commercial negotiations, you’ll partner with a Strategic Account Manager, but for most, you’ll own the full technical and commercial conversation.
If you love combining technical depth, customer empathy, and a bit of marketing insight to help developers and app teams ship faster and smarter, this role is for you.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Technical Discovery and Solutioning
You’ll lead discovery calls and demos that bridge technical and business needs, exploring how RevenueCat’s SDKs, APIs, and growth tools integrate with existing systems. You’ll diagnose current setups, identify opportunities to simplify or improve, and occasionally build light proof-of-concepts – such as replicating a prospect’s paywall – to make the vision concrete. The goal is to help prospects make an informed decision, not to push a contract.
Customer-Centric Guidance
You’ll manage inbound conversations from first touch through technical validation, ensuring prospects get fast, honest, and actionable advice. You’ll balance what’s possible with what’s right, steering prospects toward the best path – whether that means a quick implementation, a longer evaluation, or sometimes deciding RevenueCat isn’t the right fit yet.
Scaling Evaluation Enablement
You’ll collaborate with developer and growth advocates to turn recurring questions into scalable content: short videos, walkthroughs, and sample apps that help thousands of developers self-evaluate RevenueCat. Eventually, you’ll maintain demo environments and internal resources that make it easier for the broader Sales, Success, and Support teams to work confidently with prospects.
Collaboration and Feedback Loops
You’ll act as the bridge between customers and our internal teams – sharing product feedback, surfacing common technical hurdles, and helping shape new features. As we’re gearing up to launch more standalone product experiences, this part of the role is absolutely critical: We’ll need your input to make sure that we’re building things that prospects actually need. You’ll work with Product Marketing and Growth to produce solution guides and launch materials that reduce friction in evaluations and accelerate time to first value.
Impact and Continuous Improvement
You’ll track and analyze the evaluation funnel: how fast prospects reach a decision, what slows them down, and how your involvement moves the needle. Your success isn’t measured in contracts signed, but in time-to-value reduced and new customers confidently shipping RevenueCat in production.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5 or more years in a customer-facing technical role such as sales engineering, solutions architecture, or developer advocacy for a SaaS or developer-tool company
- Fluency with mobile stacks and comfort reading and writing Swift or Objective-C, Kotlin or Java, Flutter or Dart, or React Native with TypeScript
- Strong communication skills that connect APIs and SDKs to business impact for both developers and non-technical stakeholders
- Curiosity about how apps acquire, convert, and retain users and the ability to have an informed conversation about monetization
- Organizational habits that keep multiple deals, demos, and content projects on track in a remote, async environment
- A bias toward action: you’d rather ship a 70% solution today than a perfect one next quarter
Ideally, you also
- Have shipped or integrated an app with RevenueCat
- Have supported or closed enterprise SaaS deals and know how to navigate complex stakeholders
- Understand subscription commerce, in-app purchases, or payments
- Enjoy occasional whimsical side quests like creating a demo app that turns cat photos into subscription revenue
- Are comfortable with tools such as Linear, Notion, Slack, Salesforce, and Looker

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Product to design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users.
This role is product-focused, but deeply technical. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries, making thoughtful tradeoffs to deliver reliable, high-quality systems. You’ll be expected to take ownership from problem definition through production rollout and long-term maintenance.
“Product-focused” at RevenueCat means pairing strong engineering fundamentals with good judgment — not trading correctness, reliability, or scalability for speed.
About You
- You are a senior software engineer with strong web development (frontend + backend) fundamentals and a track record of owning production systems end-to-end.
- You care deeply about building reliable software and enjoy working close to real customer problems.
- You’re comfortable working across frontend, backend, and data layers, and you make deliberate, well-scoped changes.
- You’ve shipped meaningful user-facing features to production, supported them over time, and improved systems you didn’t originally design.
- You can turn ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions, collaborating effectively with product, design, and other engineers.
- You write high-quality, well-tested code, debug issues methodically, and help raise the engineering bar through thoughtful feedback and mentorship.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with ownership of production systems
- Strong engineering fundamentals: data modeling, debugging, code structure, and testing
- Strong web development fundamentals, including:
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals
- Component-based UI design and state management
- Experience with an MVC-style web framework (e.g. Django, Flask, or similar)
- An MVC framework like Django, Flask, or similar
- Understanding of HTTP and browser–server interactions
- Experience building and shipping user-facing web applications
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar), however the interview process will be in React, so brush up on that
- Comfort reasoning about non-trivial SQL queries and data correctness
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, async-friendly environment
- Proactive mindset: you notice problems, propose improvements, and follow through
In the first month, you’ll:
- Meet frequently with your team and manager to get up to speed
- Familiarize yourself with our tools, processes, and core subscription business concepts
- Complete a First Ship project
- Jump in early: fix some bugs, ship small improvements and weigh in on PRs
Within the first 3 months, you’ll:
- Have shipped a medium-sized project successfully
- Understand the main product areas owned by your team and how they work end-to-end
- Be able to scope and work on projects self-sufficiently from idea to improvements post-launch
- Actively participate in code reviews, bug bashes and technical discussions of your team
- Continuously improve areas of the codebase and product of your team
Within the first 6 months, you’ll:
- Become the go-to engineer for certain focus areas
- Proactively contribute to architecture direction discussions that impact not just your team
- Debug issues across frontend/backend/data, communicate clearly during incidents, and drive fixes that prevent repeats
- Engage with customers
- Mentor other engineers joining the team and raise the bar through feedback and guidance

Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who is deeply product-minded and highly proactive.
This is not a role for someone who waits for perfectly defined questions or works in isolation. We are looking for someone who actively looks at our data, understands our customers’ pain points, identifies opportunities, and pushes ideas forward.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to shape what we build, why we build it, and how we measure success. Your work will directly power customer-facing features such as LTV prediction, experimentation and statistical significance, benchmarking, and entirely new data-driven products we have not built yet.
You will be expected to bring ideas to the table, backed by analysis and clear hypotheses, and to influence product direction through data.
Our data stack includes a Python backend, PostgreSQL production databases, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS.
What you will do
- Proactively explore RevenueCat’s data to identify customer problems, opportunities, and product bets.
- Translate ambiguous product and business problems and questions into clear analyses, models, and recommendations.
- Partner with Product Managers to shape roadmaps, not just execute on them.
- Design, build, and ship production-grade predictive and descriptive models that power customer-facing features.
- Define and evaluate statistical approaches for experimentation, benchmarking, and forecasting.
- Communicate insights clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on customer impact.
- Continuously iterate on shipped models and features based on real-world usage and feedback.
This role has real ownership. You will not just support decisions, you will help drive them.
What success looks like
In the first month, you’ll:
- Understand our data models.
- Get to know the team.
- Ramp up on the ongoing data feature work.
- Implement and ship your first project.
Within the first 3 months, you’ll:
- Meaningfully contribute to shipping a data feature to thousands of developers.
- Work with our Product, Analytics and Engineering teams to improve our data pipelines for data science features.
- Launch your own explorations into our data to fulfill your own curiosity.
Within the first 6 months, you’ll:
- Own one or more core data-powered features end to end.
- Influence the data feature roadmap with clear, data-backed proposals.
- Be a go-to partner for product teams on data-driven decision making.
Within the first 12 months, you’ll:
- Propose and lead entirely new data-driven product initiatives.
- Push the boundaries of how RevenueCat uses data to help developers grow revenue.
- Help shape how data science operates at RevenueCat as the function grows.
Qualifications and Requirements:
You are a Senior Data Scientist who cares deeply about impact and product outcomes.
From a skills perspective, you bring:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort with data modeling.
- Experience building and deploying predictive and descriptive models in production.
- Experience writing or collaborating on production-ready Python code.
- A solid understanding of statistics and experimentation, ideally including Bayesian approaches.
- The ability to clearly explain complex ideas and results to broad audiences.
You recognize yourself in several of these:
- You are highly proactive and opinionated, and you are comfortable pushing ideas forward.
- You enjoy working with messy, real-world data and imperfect information.
- You care more about creating customer value than academic elegance.
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
- You enjoy working closely with Product teams and influencing decisions.
- You are excited by the consumer subscription ecosystem and curious about how developers make money.

- Great written communication for async collaboration in a remote team
- Values & ways of working
- You’re energized by our mission to help developers make more money
- You work iteratively and ship value quickly rather than waiting for perfection

Description:
We’re hiring a Data Analyst to work as close as possible to the teams that run RevenueCat’s business, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, People, Ops, Product, etc.
The most valuable thing on our Analytics team today isn’t SQL, it’s domain knowledge. Knowing what a trial start actually counts, why tracked revenue and realized revenue are different, how store refunds land in our data, and which model answers a question correctly the first time. That knowledge is what turns a half-formed Slack question into a number someone can act on within the hour.
So you’ll spend most of your time with business teams: understanding what they’re trying to decide, turning vague questions into analysis, and shipping the datasets and dashboards they rely on. You’ll build that domain knowledge fast, working day to day with the person who currently owns Analytics here. He’ll be your closest partner and the person who helps you grow into the domain.
The second thing that makes this role exciting is how we expect you to work. We’re building the infrastructure that lets AI agents access our data safely, and agentic tooling that answers questions grounded in our semantic layer rather than guessing. You’ll be one of its heaviest users and one of the people who makes it trustworthy: curating the semantic context, catching the answers that look right and aren’t, and pushing definitions back into dbt and LookML where they belong. We’re not hiring someone to do the same volume of work faster, we’re hiring someone who supports multiple teams well using this collection of new tools as a force multiplier.
What you will do
- Partner regularly with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Product teams. Learn their goals, their metrics, and the decisions they’re actually stuck on.
- Own analysis end to end: clarify the real question, build or pick the right dataset, deliver the answer, and make sure a decision follows.
- Go deep on our subscription domain, then write it down. Metric definitions, caveats, always-filters, known gotchas. Domain knowledge that only lives in your head doesn’t scale, and scaling it is the point of this role.
- Build analytics assets people trust without asking you first: models in dbt, explores in LookML, dashboards that hold up.
- Use our agent tooling as a force multiplier and contribute back to it. Feed it semantic context, flag wrong answers, harden the definitions it depends on.
- Contribute to the data platform where it unblocks you. Small model and pipeline improvements, debugging discrepancies, helping out when something breaks.
- Translate in both directions: business context into robust analysis, data reality into language a non-technical stakeholder can act on.
Qualifications and Requirements:
3+ years in an analytics role (Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar), including real experience as the direct analytics partner to a business team such as Marketing, Sales or Finance.
Curiosity is the thing we’re actually screening for:
- You’re uncomfortable when you don’t understand why a number is what it is, and you dig until you do.
- You ask the question behind the question. When someone asks for a dashboard, you find out what decision it’s for.
- You’d rather learn a new domain than a new tool.
- You’re comfortable without fully formed requirements, and you create structure where none exists yet.
- You care more about being useful and clear than about polished dashboards.
- You want to be a partner to the business, not a request queue.
From a skills perspective, you bring:
- Strong SQL and real comfort working directly in a warehouse. You can get to an answer without hand-holding.
- Experience owning datasets and dashboards that non-technical teams depend on.
- Comfortable working in a repo: git, branches, pull requests, code review. Our analytics lives in version-controlled dbt and LookML repos, not in saved queries.
- You already work with AI agents daily and you’re appropriately skeptical of them. You can explain how you verified an answer, not just how you produced one.
- Clear written communication, especially about limits, caveats, and what a number does not say.
Nice to have, and genuinely not required:
- Python, dbt, Looker or LookML, Snowflake or ClickHouse
- Subscription or fintech domain experience
- High-volume data
What we offer:
- Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
- 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
- Fully remote and flexible work environment
- 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge
- $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning
