Job Description:

The opportunity

• As a Tax Services Manager, you will be a part of our Indirect Tax Practice. 
• You will be part of a team who identifies planning opportunities to help clients minimize their tax burden as well as fulfill compliance responsibilities and avoid penalties.
• This position offers excellent opportunities for teaming, leadership, and career advancement to the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities

• As a manager, you will advise on multiple and challenging indirect tax advisory engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Law
• Professional accounting (CPA) or legal designation
• Manager: a minimum of 6 years of relevant indirect tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry
• Extensive experience with GST/QST
• Excellent managerial, organizational and written communication skills​​.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Effectively applying indirect tax knowledge to situations affecting clients.
• Suggesting practical and innovative solutions to clients and reaching relevant conclusions. Leading development of recommendations and solution implementation plans and using professional judgment in making informed decisions on complex issues.
• Identifying opportunities to sell refund and recovery services.
• Managing audits while maintaining effective client relationships.
• Participating and assisting in reaching Client Service Teams’ goals.
• Collaborating on business development initiatives in specific industries targeting practice growth
• Drafting tax alerts about changes to legislation and regulations or following policy statements or judgements.

• Mature, proactive, committed, highly motivated and driven team player
