The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released an update on its 2026 recruitment exercise, with applicants now able to check the status of their applications on the official recruitment portal. Candidates whose applications have progressed to the next stage are expected to participate in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which will be administered online via the recruitment portal starting Thursday, August 20, 2026.

The NAQS recruitment exercise was opened to qualified Nigerians for full-time positions across various cadres, including the Superintendent, Inspectorate and Assistant cadres. The application window opened on July 28, 2026, and closed on August 10, 2026.
Applicants who submitted their applications can now log in to recruitment.naqs.gov.ng with their registered details to check whether they have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process.

NAQS Recruitment Applicants Attempted Application
According to NAQS, a total of 606,928 applicants attempted the recruitment application process. Of this number, 407,659 successfully submitted their applications before the deadline, while 199,269 applications remained incomplete at the close of the application period.
The Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine II (ASQ II) – CONRAISS 07 recorded the highest number of applications with 290,076 applicants. Other cadres recorded the following figures:
- Quarantine Assistant (QA) – CONRAISS 03: 117,177 applications
- Inspector of Quarantine I (IQ I) – CONRAISS 06: 79,685 applications
- Inspector of Quarantine II (IQ II) – CONRAISS 05: 70,170 applications
- Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSQ) – CONRAISS 08, Masters: 13,183 applications
- Inspector of Quarantine III (IQ III) – CONRAISS 04: 12,724 applications
- Superintendent of Quarantine (SQ) – CONRAISS 09: 9,791 applications
- Chief Superintendent of Quarantine (CSQ) – CONMESS 2/CONRAISS 10: 8,779 applications
- Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSQ) – CONRAISS 08, Law: 5,343 applications
How to Check Your NAQS Recruitment Status
Applicants should visit recruitment.naqs.gov.ng, log in with their registered email address and password, and check the application status displayed on their dashboard.
If your status shows that you have progressed to the next stage, you should monitor the email address used during registration for the CBT date, time and other examination instructions.
Important: NAQS has stated that applicants should rely only on official information from the Service and remain vigilant against fraudulent messages or platforms claiming to provide recruitment assistance.
