We’re proud to be a fully remote company of around 200 (and growing!) team members from 30+ countries around the world. We seek exceptional individuals around the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and in turn, create a meaningful impact in their own lives. We don’t track hours, but we do manage for high expectations very closely. We collaborate across time zones, are highly async, and like to document a lot.

Senior Brand Designer

Specifications:

Description:

As a Senior Brand Designer at Circle, you’ll play a key role in shaping one of our most valuable assets—our brand.

This role sits within our Design Studio team—the creative engine behind all of Circle’s marketing design—and focuses on evolving how Circle looks, feels, and communicates across every customer touchpoint. From product launches and campaigns to events, advertising, social, motion, and visual identity systems, you’ll help create a brand that’s instantly recognizable and impossible to ignore.

We’re looking for someone with exceptional visual craft, outstanding creative taste, and experience building brands for modern software, AI, or technology companies. You understand how to communicate complex products through clear, compelling visual storytelling, creating work that’s both strategically effective and visually memorable.

You’ll think beyond individual assets, building scalable visual systems while constantly pushing the brand forward. Working closely with Marketing, Product Marketing, Motion, Content, and Leadership, you’ll help define how Circle shows up to the world.

We’re building a brand that stands alongside the very best in technology—not just one that’s functional, but one that’s instantly recognizable, culturally relevant, and sets the standard for modern software companies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Help define and evolve Circle’s visual identity across every customer-facing touchpoint.
  • Lead the creative direction for major product launches, campaigns, announcements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Design scalable brand systems that work across web, social, paid advertising, events, presentations, email, video, and product marketing.
  • Develop compelling visual narratives for new product launches, translating complex software and AI capabilities into simple, engaging brand experiences.
  • Create campaign identities, illustrations, iconography, graphics, presentations, and launch assets that elevate the Circle brand.
  • Develop storyboards and creative concepts for launch videos, motion pieces, and product announcements, collaborating closely with motion designers throughout production.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Content, Motion, and Leadership to define the visual direction for major company moments.
  • Build reusable brand systems, templates, and creative frameworks that improve consistency and speed across the company.
  • Continuously evolve Circle’s design language by researching emerging trends across branding, AI, motion, and digital design.
  • Present creative concepts confidently, communicate design rationale, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every asset reflects the quality expected from the Circle brand.
  • Research emerging AI-powered creative tools and identify opportunities to improve our design workflows.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong alignment with our values (find them on our Careers page if you haven’t already).
  • You are proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Brand Designer, Visual Designer within software, AI, or technology companies.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional brand design across campaigns, product launches, visual identities, and digital experiences.
  • Experience building and evolving brands for modern software companies, with a strong understanding of how to communicate complex products through simple, engaging design.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, AI, and technology design trends, with an eye for where modern brands are heading—not just where they are today.
  • Experience developing creative concepts and storyboards for product launches, brand films, motion graphics, or campaign videos.
  • Experience collaborating closely with motion designers and understanding how static design translates into animation and storytelling.
  • Exceptional typography, composition, colour, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of scalable design systems and visual identity frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can confidently present ideas, explain creative decisions, and collaborate asynchronously across teams.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple creative projects simultaneously.
  • Curiosity around AI-powered creative workflows and excitement to experiment with emerging technologies.
  • You obsess over craft and sweat every detail, while always thinking about the bigger picture—how every asset contributes to building a memorable, category-defining brand.

The fun stuff

  • Fully remote: work from anywhere in the world!
  • Autonomy and trust to do your job: we care about outcomes over everything else.
  • Paid time away: all employees are given 35 days of PTO annually. We also offer a paid sabbatical after 5 years.
  • Generous U.S. benchmarked compensation and startup equity no matter where you are in the world.*
  • Awesome medical coverage with 100% coverage for you and your family, or medical reimbursement options where applicable!*
  • Parental leave for parents expanding their family, or just starting one.
  • Home office stipend to help you get up and running.
  • Learning & development stipend to help you level up your professional skills.
  • Annual bonus potential for roles that don’t already receive variable income or commission.

Lead Product Designer

Specifications:

Description:

You’ll own design for one of Circle’s most important product areas. That means you define the problem, shape the direction, and ship the experience—not wait for a brief. The specific area will be determined based on your strengths and company priorities.

You’ll report into the product design organization and work as the most senior design IC on your product area, partnering directly with product managers, engineers, and design leadership. You’ll also work alongside other Leads across Circle’s product surface. As the team grows, you’ll be expected to raise the bar for the designers around you.

AI is not a section on this job description—it’s how we work. Circle’s design team builds with AI tools daily: exploring product directions, prototyping with code-generation tools, stress-testing ideas faster than traditional workflows allow. We’re looking for someone who already works this way and wants to push it further.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own a product area end-to-end: identify opportunities, frame the problem, set design direction, and ship—operating as a peer to Product and Engineering, not a downstream executor
  • Design complex, multi-step product flows that serve multiple user types—balancing creator needs against member experience, and making sophisticated behavior feel simple
  • Prototype and test at speed—using AI-assisted tools, code-generation workflows, and whatever gets you to a testable concept fastest
  • Influence product strategy beyond your own surface: contribute to roadmap conversations, flag opportunities other teams miss, and connect dots across the product
  • Drive the craft standard on your area—interaction design, visual quality, and the small details that separate polished product from “good enough”
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and design engineers to turn concepts into working, shippable experiences—not hand off specs and hope
  • Raise the bar for the broader design team through feedback, shared frameworks, and the quality of your own output

  • Experience operating as the most senior designer on a product area—setting direction, making tradeoffs, and owning outcomes without constant guidance
  • Strong prototyping skills—you build clickable, realistic prototypes yourself. Bonus if you’re already using AI-assisted prototyping tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or Lovable
  • Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and collaboration
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication—able to clearly explain complex ideas, influence decisions, and align teams asynchronously. You write well because that’s how decisions get made in a distributed team
  • Comfortable designing in ambiguity and building conviction through iteration, not waiting for perfect requirements
  • An active, evolving AI workflow—you already use AI tools in your design process and can speak concretely about how. This isn’t a checkbox; it’s a real part of how we evaluate fit

Lead Product Designer, Marketplace

Specifications:

Description:

You’ll own Discover end-to-end as the lead designer: identifying opportunities, setting design direction, and shipping work that raises the bar for how discovery feels at Circle. You’ll work closely with a founder-led product team that has strong vision and high standards — and you’ll bring the craft, the systems thinking, and the bottom-up ideas that make that vision real.

You’ll be joining a design team where context is shared openly, ownership is real, and talented people are trusted to do their best work.

This role is for designers with deep experience in consumer marketplace products — owning discovery, ranking, and engagement at scale; if your background is primarily in internal tools, CMS platforms, or growth systems, this role will not be a fit — please apply to our Core Product role instead.

The problem you’ll be solving

Discovery is one of the hardest design problems. You’re serving two audiences with opposing needs simultaneously: creators who need visibility, trust signals, and growth; and consumers who need signal through noise, confidence to commit, and experiences that deliver on their promise.

What makes this genuinely novel is AI as the core interaction model — not a filter or a recommendation widget, but the primary way Discover understands intent and surfaces what’s worth someone’s time. How does an AI-driven experience build trust in a marketplace? How do you make an AI-driven surface feel like a trusted recommendation from someone who knows you, not a ranked list from a system that doesn’t? These are real open questions, and the quality of the answers will show up directly in the product.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own Discover’s design end-to-end. Identify opportunities, frame problems, set design direction, and ship. You connect dots across the platform — understanding how a community business compound product feeds into what Discover surfaces — and you make that systems understanding visible in every design decision.
  • Design AI-driven discovery experiences. The new world UX is conversational and relational. You’ll design the interfaces, curation experiences, and trust signals that make AI-driven discovery feel effortless — building the relationship between the platform, creators, and members in ways that feel human, not algorithmic.
  • Serve both sides of the market. You understand what makes a marketplace work at a systems level — how creator visibility gets earned, how consumer confidence gets built, how one broken experience erodes trust on both sides. That understanding drives your design decisions, not just your surface-level execution.
  • Prototype at speed. You use AI-assisted tools — Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Lovable — because you’ve already figured out it’s how ideas get stress-tested fast. You stay in the problem through to launch, working closely with engineers to close the gap between concept and shipped experience.
  • Mentor and elevate. You raise the craft standard on Discover through the quality of your own work and how you develop designers alongside you.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong alignment with our values, find our values on our career page if you haven’t read up on them yet
  • You are proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.
  • Marketplace or two-sided platform experience — this is a hard requirement. You’ve designed for both sides of a market. You know what breaks trust and what builds it. Your portfolio shows you shaped outcomes, not just interfaces.
  • 5+ years of product design experience, including shipped 0→1 work, complex multi-user flows, and clear evidence that you drove product direction — not just executed it.
  • Experience as the most senior designer on a product area — setting direction, making tradeoffs, and owning outcomes without constant guidance.
  • Genuine fluency with AI-assisted prototyping. You build realistic prototypes yourself using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or Lovable. This is how you think, not just how you produce. You can speak concretely about your process.
  • Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proactive communication. You share your thinking before you’re asked, surface decisions early, give real opinions, and keep your team informed without being prompted. At Circle, communication is how trust gets built and work gets shipped.
  • Comfort designing in ambiguity. Discover is still taking shape. You build conviction through iteration, not by waiting for perfect requirements.

Growth Lead, Discover

Specifications:

Description:

We’re building something game-changing at Circle: a discovery marketplace where millions can find creators, communities, and products to help them achieve their highest personal and professional goals.

You’ll own generating and growing the demand engine for the Discover marketplace. Think of a Pinterest, Reddit or Instagram-style product, reimagined with a mission to help people achieve their goals instead of distracting them with endless doom scrolling. Through Discover, you will be building technology that could help millions of people grow, self-actualize, and live their best lives.

As the Growth Lead for Discover, you’ll report directly to the GM of Discover and work closely with Circle’s co-founders to bring this vision to life. Day to day you’ll work with the product team for Discover, our paid media team, data team, brand and design studio, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, and more.

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates in any North American time zone.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own growth for the Discover marketplace. Drive traffic to Discover, experiment with how consumers find and engage with Discover, and grow its GMV and transaction volume.
  • A/B testing and experimentation. Run experiments to better acquire, engage, and retain traffic. Test what people see when they arrive on Discover, the algorithms behind recommendations, and marketplace structure.
  • Build Circle’s end-to-end lifecycle email programs. Build the acquisition funnel for Discover by setting up a recommendations newsletter, creating offers to acquire subscribers, and developing email programs to turn visitors into repeat buyers.
  • Build an SEO program. Grow Discover’s organic surfaces and SEO / AEO across product pages and distribution partnerships with the creators already building on Circle.
  • Drive creator success on the marketplace. Help creators listed on Discover succeed by sending them buyers who convert and stay, diagnosing which categories generate traffic but underconvert, and applying those learnings across the marketplace.
  • Build the team’s reporting. Track funnel performance by category, cohort retention of Discover-sourced members, and what individual creators earn from the marketplace, and own reporting on performance and recommendations to leadership.
  • Help shape and execute Discover’s growth strategy. Partner with the GM of Discover and co-founders to shape growth priorities and collaborate with the product team to evolve the product.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A track record of owning a revenue or GMV number across multiple channels at one time, where you were able to grow the number and deliver real results. Ideally, you can walk us through what moved the number, what worked, and what you got wrong. This matters a lot more to us than your title or how many years you’ve been doing this.
  • Experience with email and lifecycle marketing, including building a program from scratch. You should have a clear view of what it should be judged on beyond opens and clicks.
  • Experience acquiring email subscribers profitably and growing their value over time. This mechanic is going to be key here: bring someone in for less than they’ll eventually spend, then earning more from them by delivering real value to both them and the creator.
  • Comfortable being hands-on as a player-coach. This includes writing the emails, building the pages, talking to the creators, setting up reporting, and reading the results yourself.
  • Deep understanding of marketplaces and/or businesses with strong network effects. Ideally, you’re someone who obsesses about marketplace network effects, and shows strong judgment and opinions on growing the demand side of a marketplace.
  • Learn fast, experiment aggressively, and thrive in a highly dynamic environment. You’ll need to be comfortable running a lot of experiments and letting the results settle the argument, including the ones that don’t work (which will be many of them in the beginning).
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity. You’ll need to learn and pick up new technologies when projects require it.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.

  • Parental leave for parents expanding their family, or just starting one.
  • Home office stipend to help you get up and running.
  • Learning & development stipend to help you level up your professional skills.
  • Annual bonus potential for roles that don’t already receive variable income or commission.
  • Company retreats: Twice a year, the Circle team gets together for a fully paid company retreat in incredible places around the world! We’ve had past retreats in Colombia, Portugal, and Mexico, with more planned on the horizon.

Senior Quality Engineer

Specifications:

Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help shape how quality is built into our product.

Our SQEs work across multiple product teams, partnering with Engineering, Product Leads and Design across different areas of Circle. You’ll get involved throughout the development lifecycle. Exploring ideas, identifying risks, challenging assumptions and helping teams make better decisions about quality.

This is a collaborative, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the product, moving between different problem spaces and making Quality Engineering visible across the organisation.

You’ll combine strong product thinking, exploratory testing, automation and technical investigation to help teams ship with confidence.

What you’ll be doing

Product Quality

  • Partner with multiple product teams across different areas of Circle.
  • Get involved early in product, design and engineering discussions.
  • Identify meaningful product, technical and customer risks.
  • Bring a quality perspective to user journeys, UI/UX, requirements and technical approaches.
  • Shape pragmatic, risk-based testing approaches based on the change and its potential impact.

Automation & Technical Quality

  • Build and maintain reliable automated coverage across web, APIs and integrations.
  • Make thoughtful decisions about what to automate, where to test it and what provides the strongest signal.
  • Investigate complex failures across the application, APIs, CI pipelines and supporting systems.
  • Work with engineers to improve testability, reliability and developer feedback loops.
  • Use modern engineering and AI-assisted tooling where it improves planning, automation, debugging or investigation.

Quality Strategy & Enablement

  • Identify recurring or systemic quality issues and drive improvements across teams.
  • Use bugs, production issues and quality signals to improve prevention, not just detection.
  • Help teams make informed decisions about risk, coverage and release confidence.
  • Share knowledge and approaches that strengthen quality ownership across Engineering.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.
Strong experience working as a Quality Engineer within modern product engineering teams.
  • Strong web test automation experience with Playwright, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
  • Good knowledge of API and integration testing.
  • Strong exploratory and risk-based testing skills.
  • Confidence reading application code and debugging complex technical issues.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
  • Strong product judgement. You care about the experience being built, not just whether it technically works.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and product areas, switching context and getting up to speed quickly.
  • Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and identify where your input will create the most value.
  • Confident asking questions, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions constructively.
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach to balancing quality, risk and delivery.

Bonus points

  • Experience, interest or strong potential in building quality platforms, test infrastructure, automation frameworks, developer tooling or other reusable quality-enabling systems. We’re particularly interested in SQEs who enjoy solving quality problems in scalable ways.
  • Mobile testing, particularly React Native, iOS or Android.
  • Payments or integration-heavy products.
  • Observability and production monitoring.
  • Performance and load testing.
  • CI/CD and build infrastructure.
  • Developer experience or engineering productivity.

  • Company retreats: Twice a year, the Circle team gets together for a fully paid company retreat in incredible places around the world! We’ve had past retreats in Colombia, Portugal, and Mexico, with more planned on the horizon.

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, CMS

Specifications:

Description:

We’re hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the CMS Platform team. CMS Platform owns the systems for composing and presenting content across Circle, including our Page Builder experience and forms, plus laying the groundwork for future AI-first interfaces.

You’ll work across product-facing experiences (editing, previewing, publishing, layout, components) and the backend systems that make them possible (content models, rendering/publishing pipelines, permissions, and performance). If you enjoy turning ambitious product ideas into polished, scalable systems, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and ship Page Builder features that directly impact how customers design and publish their sites.
  • Work across the stack using React & TypeScript (frontend) and Ruby on Rails (backend).
  • Partner closely with product/design to translate specs into high-quality, user-friendly experiences.
  • Improve the architecture of the builder/editor and publishing pipeline for reliability, extensibility, and performance.
  • Own projects end-to-end—from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
  • Review PRs thoughtfully and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Work async-first and communicate clearly and proactively.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong alignment with our values. Find our values on our career page if you haven’t read up on them yet.
  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling SaaS products.
  • Deep experience with Ruby on Rails and strong proficiency with React & TypeScript.
  • A product mindset—you care about the “why,” sweat UX details, and iterate based on customer needs.
  • Experience building complex, stateful UI (editors, builders, or design tools) and/or the systems behind them.
  • Solid architectural judgment and a high bar for quality, balanced with pragmatism.
  • Comfort working with and alongside AI tools in your development workflow.
  • Excellent async communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.

Bonus points

  • Experience working on site builders, page editors, or CMS platforms.
  • Experience with rich text/content editing, drag-and-drop interactions, component systems, or design tooling.
  • Familiarity with web performance, caching strategies, and scaling high-traffic rendering/publishing systems.
  • Prior experience at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
