Description:
- We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our team.
- In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.
- You will work closely with developers to validate new features, identify edge cases, and ensure the integrity of our data
Responsibilities
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all new features.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing to ensure features meet business requirements and design specifications.
- Measure and analyze QA data points like defect density and outstanding defect totals.
- Validate backend data states using MongoDB.
- Write and execute queries to ensure data is correctly stored, updated, and retrieved across the platform.
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure that new code deployments do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Verify the communication between frontend and backend services using tools like Postman to test API endpoints.
- Conduct basic performance testing to ensure the application remains stable and responsive under varying traffic levels.
- Document and prioritize defects with clear “steps to reproduce,” environment details, and logs. Collaborate with the development team to verify fixes.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, and automated testing tools
- Proficiency in programming languages, testing tools, and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Proficiency using Browser Developer Tools (Console, Network tab) to diagnose frontend errors.
- Experience with Postman (API testing) and Jira/GitHub (issue tracking).
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Salary
N400,000 monthly.
