CDCFIB Releases Guidelines for Next Recruitment Exercise, Candidates to Visit Portal before Deadline

-

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has released detailed guidelines for candidates participating in the next stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

Candidates who sat for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted in November 2025 are expected to access the recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20, 2026, to verify whether they have been shortlisted for physical screening and document verification. The physical screening exercise is scheduled to commence on June 22, 2026.

How to Complete the CDCFIB Physical Screening Process

Step 1: Check Your Shortlisting Status

Applicants should visit the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and enter the application number generated during registration.

The system will verify the application and indicate whether the candidate has been shortlisted for the next phase. Candidates are advised to use only the official portal and avoid sharing their application details with third parties.

Step 2: Upload Required Documents

Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be required to upload all necessary credentials and supporting documents through the portal.

Applicants should ensure that the documents uploaded are clear, complete, and match the information provided during the application process.

Step 3: Select Screening Date and Venue

After uploading the required documents, shortlisted candidates will be required to choose their preferred screening date and examination venue.

The Board advised candidates to select centres closest to their locations, noting that available slots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 4: Download and Print Examination Slip

Once the application update process has been completed, candidates should download and print their examination slips.

Applicants are advised to print at least two copies and verify all information on the slip, including their name, candidate number, screening date, and venue. The slip will serve as the official entry pass for the screening exercise.

Step 5: Attend Physical Screening

The physical screening and document verification exercise will begin on June 22, 2026.

Candidates are expected to report to their selected centres with their printed examination slips and arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. The Board warned that late arrivals may not be allowed to participate.

Step 6: Await Results and Next Phase

After the screening exercise, results will be published on the official recruitment portal.

Successful candidates will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process, which will include additional fitness assessments and oral examinations. Applicants are advised to continue monitoring official CDCFIB communication channels for updates.

The Board reiterated that the recruitment process remains free of charge and warned candidates against fraudsters claiming they can influence shortlisting, screening, or final selection. Applicants are advised to rely only on information released through official CDCFIB platforms.

About the CDCFIB Recruitments

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) launched its 2025 nationwide recruitment exercise on July 14, 2025, for vacancies across four federal paramilitary agencies. The application portal remained open until August 11, 2025, attracting more than 1.9 million applications from Nigerians seeking employment in the security and public safety sector.

Following the application phase, the Board screened submissions and reviewed candidates’ eligibility. According to the recruitment overview released by CDCFIB, over 1.1 million applications were successfully completed, while others were either incomplete or disqualified for failing to meet the requirements.

The next stage of the exercise was the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which was conducted nationwide between November 12 and November 19, 2025. Thousands of candidates participated in the examination as part of the Board’s effort to identify qualified applicants for the available positions.

After the CBT stage, the Board began evaluating examination results and candidate records before releasing the list of successful applicants eligible for the next phase of the recruitment exercise.

In its latest update, CDCFIB announced the commencement of physical screening and document verification for candidates who successfully passed the CBT stage. Applicants who participated in the examination have been directed to check their status through the official recruitment portal and follow the instructions provided for the screening exercise.

The ongoing recruitment exercise is aimed at filling vacancies in four paramilitary agencies under the Board’s supervision, namely the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service.

The CDCFIB reiterated that the recruitment process remains free, transparent and merit-based, cautioning candidates against fraudsters and individuals demanding money for shortlisting, document uploads, screening venue allocation, or final selection.

Applicants were advised to disregard unofficial messages, fake recruitment notices, and fraudulent links circulating online, stressing that all genuine information regarding the exercise will only be communicated through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal and approved communication channels.

Candidates who expect to participate in the screening exercise have also been encouraged to begin assembling their original credentials and other relevant documents ahead of the verification process. The Board expressed confidence that the exercise would be conducted in line with established recruitment guidelines to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all qualified applicants.
